Great Scotland Yard Hotel – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Set within what was once a part of Whitehall Palace (a residence of the Scottish monarchy) and then, most famously, the first Metropolitan Police headquarters, Great Scotland Yard Hotel stands out for its storied location. Jack the Ripper’s crimes were investigated here, Charles Dickens accompanied constables on their nightly rounds as research for his books, and Arthur Conan Doyle wrote this site into his Sherlock Holmes tales.

Behind its red brick and Portland stone facade, the boutique-style hotel draws inspiration from the site’s fascinating past for its grand interiors and guest experience. The Parlour, serving afternoon tea, offers a leafy, Victorian-influenced oasis. Síbín Speakeasy pays homage to illicit clubs of that time. The 40 Elephants cocktail bar tells stories of its namesake 19th-century all-female shoplifting gang. Each guest room has its own bespoke design accents.

Continuing the historic theme, nearby tours include a City of Spies Private Tour of the Churchill War Rooms and a Private Royal London tour, bringing together several of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

There’s also Whitehall — site of 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister's residence, and other historic and government landmarks; Covent Garden shopping, dining, and entertainment; and Victoria Embankment Gardens, a collection of gardens along the Thames River.

Hyatt Regency London Stratford

When London hosted the 2012 Summer Olympics, a significant regeneration program transformed much of the East End district of Stratford, creating the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and weaving the city’s sporting identity into this vibrant area. Hyatt Regency London Stratford lies within Westfield Stratford, another site to spring from the area’s development near the Olympic Park.

Within this modern hideaway — conveniently close to central London, the O2 Arena, and transport hubs like London City Airport — you’ll find refined urban-view rooms, space to work remotely, fitness facilities, and places to eat and drink that represent the area. Elondi Bar draws on the spirit of East London, while Elondi Restaurant celebrates its diversity through a globally inspired menu. The open-air Elondi Terrace provides a moment of calm amid the Stratford buzz.

Get to know the area’s sporting and cultural highlights by exploring the neighboring Olympic Park and its indoor velodrome, climbing the 455 steps (or taking the elevator) to the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit tower, or diving in at London Aquatics Centre's Olympic-sized pool. You can also visit the home of West Ham United Football Club, the real-life team that was the major rival to the fictional AFC Richmond on the Apple TV+ hit series Ted Lasso.

Shop for a unique memento at Spitalfields Arts Market, housing a range of vendors selling art, clothing, jewelry, and home goods. Wrap up your day's adventures by channeling your inner dancing queen at ABBA Voyage, a high-tech performance featuring digital avatars of the original members of this iconic pop group accompanied by a live band.

Park Hyatt London River Thames sets you right on its namesake waterway, combining proximity to some of London's most beloved spots with captivating views. Buzzing riverside locales and a wealth of major landmarks (such as Buckingham Palace and Big Ben) are close by, with plenty to occupy you before you’ve even set foot outside.

Art-filled interiors pair modern sophistication with references to the surroundings and this area of Southwest London. The Nine Elms Kitchen and Bar, named after the district, and Cantonese-style restaurant Yú Gé reflect London's global vibes. The hotel's on-site spa, complete with indoor heated pool and meditation pods, provides a perfect place to unwind.
