The Hawaii Governor’s office continues to strongly discourage nonessential travel to West Maui, currently through October 7 at which point travel restrictions will be lifted and West Maui open to visitors again. The Hawai’i Tourism Authority, in alignment with the Hawaii governor, urges visitors to refrain from going to West Maui (including Lahaina, Napili, Ka’anapali, and Kapalua).

As you may be aware, Maui continues efforts to recover after the devastating wildfires that destroyed Lahaina and surrounding areas. Tragically, several hundred of our associates have lost their homes, loved ones, and memories in the fires, and the West Maui community is still in a state of grieving.

In addition to the impact on our associates, these wildfires have affected the West Maui area around the resort. Many local businesses are not operating, resulting in limited, or no, access to places such as fuel stations, restaurants, golf courses, and grocery stores. A curfew remains in place in West Maui from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in those areas designated by Maui Police Department checkpoints.

We understand that Maui is a special place for our Owners and guests. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
